About the Cat Etching

I started this series for the Hemingway Home and Museum in Key West. Ernest Hemingway lived here with his second wife Pauline from 1931 to 1940. During that time Hemingway had a six toed cat named "Snowshoes". That one liked to visit the cats in the neighborhood and today we have around 60 cats living on the Hemingway Home premises.

All cats are named after famous actors and writers. "Archie" on the left stands for Archibald McLeish, "Marilyn" for Marilyn Monroe, "Ingrid" for Ingrid Bergman, "Nick" for Nick Adams and "Bubba" for Bubba. There will be cats added in the future.

All prints are mounted on foam board and have a total size of 6x6 inches.

Each etching was individually printed and hand colored, mounted on black foam board as floaters in transparent plastic sleeves. All sizes of the foam board are standard sizes of picture frames.
Colors may vary a little from print to print.
